I don't live in Nolita, but I firmly believe that when I move to NY with my future hubbie that we will live in our own little Brooklyn or wherever fairytale. I finally have gotten excited about planning a wedding. Just in time for everyone to be taking vacations for Christmas. So instead of chatting about my wedding, let me throw out a good Christmas cheer idea:
The Chicago-Sun Times (you don't have to be from Chicago) pairs local Chicago children with volunteer Santas. These children are from low-income areas and may not receive a Christmas gift this year. As Santa, you are asked to buy a $25-30 gift.
Natalie over at I heart Peonies has a cute story about her experience with the project, so you should all check it out here.
So the season is upon us, and even though the economy is complete crap for us all, I think it will make us a little happier and others a little happier to give a little.
Measure your life in love ladies and gentlemen.
PS. I will be posting a Gossip Girl blog a bit later.
PPS. The city is calling my name, I hear it in the snow.
